Today we kick off our big 2016 vacation. This time we are exploring the pacific northwest.
We begin with a quick sortie of Seattle. Strangely enough it was cheaper to fly into Seattle, stay two nights, and then fly to Alaska, than it would be to just fly straight to Alaska. That works for us, as we get to enjoy another destination.
Following Seattle we head up to Alaska. We’ll spend six days doing land(ish) tours of the state. We’ll hit the highlights of Denali, Anchorage, Barrow, and Seward.
Next we board a cruise ship and explore the Alaskan coastal panhandle. We’ll whale watch, look at glaciers, fjords, and even take a drive in the Yukon.
Lastly, we end our trip in Vancouver, where we’ll spend a few days exploring its many parks and architectural highlights.
Join us again over the next couple weeks as we blog our way through the Pacific Northwest.
