Drake Passage Vol II: The Drake Quake

Location: (as of 10AM ship time)  and heading due north. A couple hundred miles east of the Falklands.

Today was another rough day at sea. We sailed through most of the Drake Passage overnight, but still had some more sea to cover before we were in the clear. The seas were still rough from yesterday’s storm with 6-8 waves. This was still an improvement over yesterday’s 10-14 ft waves.

With the weather still cold and damp and the seas too rough we made it a simple day. Ryan attended some lectures and watched movies in the cabin. Rachel went to the casino.

With nothing else to say for today, here is another cute penguin picture from the Falklands.

Tomorrow is another day at sea. The seas are expected to calm down a lot, but it will still be too cold to lounge on the sun deck.

Today’s Weather: Heavy fog, High 50F, Low 38F
